Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance
Publisher: THQ
Developer: Gas Powered Games
Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance is the standalone expansion pack shipping on November 6th, 2007. The expansion pack has everyone in the SupCom community buzzing as it features over 100 new units including a new playable faction called the Seraphim. The Seraphim were the precursors to the Aeon Illuminate, and they have come back to wipe out all of humanity. The UEF, Cybran, and Aeon nations must now band together in order to survive the coming onslaught. The Seraphim have the same smoothed look as the Aeon as shown in screenshots posted on Gamespot and IGN. Below is the official trailer from E3 2007.

Multiplayer Compatability
Although the opinion on compatibility with the original remains divided, Gas Powered Games has already released details about how it will work. The examples shown here are for two people trying to play each together. This, and other official details, can be found on the GPGnet forums here.
If you both have FA and SupCom, you can both play any of the four factions.
If you have only FA and your opponent has only FA you can both play each other only as Seraphim.
If you have only FA and your opponent has both FA and SupCom you can play only as Seraphim, and your opponent can play any of the four factions.
If you have FA and SupCom, and your opponent has only SupCom, you can play him using only the SupCom units and balance. This [means you] also need to have vanilla SupCom installed.
If you have only FA and your opponent has only SupCom, you cannot play one another.
