UEF Sea
Tech 1
Attack Submarine: Tigershark
The Tigershark is the basic sea-to-sea combat vessel for the UEF. It is the most effective unit against other sea combat units ranging from Frigates to Battleships. Even though an individual submarine does not do a lot of damage to higher tech level sea units, when used in large groups, they are capable of single-handedly wiping out entire navies.
Two common ways a player can defeat a large submarine force is to either use a similar submarine force or use torpedo bombers. The second option is preferred, especially if the submarines do not have any anti-air support. The Tigershark also has the ability to resurface and use its top-mounted plasma cannon to bombard enemy installations on the shore. However, be wary, since a surfaced submarine may be attacked by any conventional land, air, or sea unit.
Frigate: Thunderhead Class
The UEF Frigate is a sturdy ship that has both ground and air capabilities. Frigates also have scouting and radar jamming abilities. When frigates appear in enemy sonar coverage, the enemy will see more incoming units than there actually are. In addition to being a scout and a basic assault ship, frigates are best known for defending against Aeon Light Tanks. Aeon light tanks die to frigates often, making the frigate a good coastal guard unit.
Tech 2
Cruiser: Governor Class
The UEF Cruiser is the solution to a navy's anti-air problem. The cruiser can quickly and effectively destroy a large number of aircraft. In addition to its primary AA guns, the cruiser also comes with a gauss cannon for shore bombardment, a tactical missile defense, and a tactical missile launcher.
Destroyer: Valiant Class
The UEF Destroyer has standard gauss cannons, anti-air guns, as well as torpedo launchers to counter enemy submarines. The anti-air guns are not nearly as effective as the cruiser so it is important for a destroyer to have additional AA support.
Tech 3
Battleship: Summit Class
The UEF Battleship is truly a sight to behold. It has multiple cannons for shore bombardment, anti-air capability, and a tactical missile defense. Note that the UEF battleship is not prepared to defend itself against torpedoes. Thus, make sure the battleship has a number of submarine escorts as well as some cruisers for additional anti-air support.
Experimental
Submersible Aircraft Carrier: Atlantis
The Atlantis is an experimental unit that can carry aircraft in its cargo bays and also be able to submerge underwater. In addition, the Atlantis can also build its own air units. As for defense, the aircraft carrier is loaded with 4 torpedo launchers and 4 SAM Launchers, making it an incredibly difficult unit to destroy. The Atlantis is most easily destroyed when it is above water since then it is open to land, air, and sea attacks.
