GPGnet Icons

Home

Click this button to go back to the home page.  This is useful when you are in a chat room, and you want to go back.

Chat

Click this button to join Chat.  You will be automatically directed to Halcyon, the main chatroom used by GPGnet players.  If Halcyon is full, you will be redirected to Freeport.  If Freeport is full, you will be redirected to Procyon.

Host Custom Game

Click this button to host a custom game.  You can create a game name and a password if you wish.  After creating, you will be relocated to the game lobby, where you can choose the map and any other settings you like.  2x resources? No Rush?  The choice is yours.  This is a custom game so the game result will not show up on your ranked record.

Join Custom Game

Click this button to join a custom game.  Too lazy to create?  Join someone else's game instead of hosting your own.  This button brings you to the Join Game screen where you can browse other people's games.  This is a custom game so the result will not show up on your ranked record.

Play Ranked Game

Click this button to play a ranked game.  The Ranked Match Preferences screen will pop up asking you to select your faction and your map preferences.  After clicking Start Search, GPGnet will find another player similar to your rating and pair you up.  The result of this game will show up on your 1v1 ranked record.

Play Arranged Team Game

Click this button to play an arranged team game.  The Team Selection screen will pop up asking you to form a team and asking you to select a faction and your map preferences.  After clicking Launch, GPGnet will find another team for you to play against.  The result of this game will show up on your 2v2 or 3v3 ranked record depending on which type of game you played.

Play Now

Click this button to play a ranked game.  It will automatically use the last ranked game preferences you set.  This is the quickest way to get a multiplayer game in Supreme Commander.  Don't forget - it's ranked!  The result will show up on your 1v1 ranked record.

View Ranking

Click this button to view the 1v1 rankings.  This button is used most often when trying to search for a certain individual's ranked record.  The 1v1 ranking screen shows information about the player in question, but to get more detailed information, simply right-click the player in question and select View this player's profile.

The Vault

Click this button to enter the vault.  The vault contains lots of user-generated content such as maps and mods.  In order to download this content, double-click the file in the vault and click Download in the File Tasks portion of the screen.  The content will be automatically downloaded and installed into Supreme Commander enabling you to use it immediately.

World Map

Click here to view the world map.  This cool feature allows you to see where players are located in the world.  There are many options to choose from such as the locations of your friends, custom games, your clan, even the top 10 players.  In addition, a ticker at the bottom of the screen updates in real time about ranked games played and their outcomes.  If you're located somewhere where you're not, don't worry.  The world map finds your location using an IP trace, but it could be thrown off depending on your firewall settings and/or your ISP.

Replay Vault

Click here to enter the replay vault.  This is clearly one of the most useful parts of GPGnet.  After a game is played, a player has the option of saving the replay of the game into the vault.  This replay will remain there until a revolutionary new patch for the game is released or a virus destroys it all.  You cannot manually delete replays saved in the replay vault.  In the replay vault, you can search for a replay based on a specific player, based on a certain map, or both.  Replays are one of the best ways to learn the game, especially if you are new.  If playing games is the #1 thing you do on SupCom, then the #2 thing should be watching replays of either yourself or others.

Submit Feedback

Click here to submit feedback to GPGnet.

Options

Click here to edit GPGnet options.  Personally, the only setting I had to alter was Supreme Commander --> Game Port.  Since my friends and I play on GPGnet behind the same router, each computer must use a different port in order to connect properly to games.

2v2/3v3 Rankings

The 2v2/3v3 Rankings can be found on the top toolbar under Rankings --> 2v2 (or 3v3) Rankings.  These rankings are separate from your 1v1 rankings.
